What about YESS?

YESS – Youth Enterprise Shadowing Schemes project (Erasmus + KA2: Strategic Partnership Youth) supports the fight against unemployment among young people – which is really high in all the involved countries (Poland, Italy, Greece & Cyprus). At the same time, the project aims at influencing their decision and the career to be followed, by enriching their understanding of the practical sides of entrepreneurship and self-employment, through engaging them in so-called “Enterprise Shadowing Schemes” (E.S.). Such schemes in many countries have proven to constitute quite effective educational processes to learn entrepreneurial skills and inspire future careers.

Project objectives were:

  • To narrow the existing knowledge gap, provide awareness on key concepts and opportunities and equip young people with the needed tools to pursue successful entrepreneurial activity.
  • To facilitate exchanges of experience, learning and networking between young people / entrepreneurs-to-be with established entrepreneurs.
  • To build flexible approaches to create social impact through enterprise shadowing, strengthening the school-to-work transition.
  • To respond to common European problems of youth unemployment & lack of entrepreneurial activities by cooperating transnationally to mitigate these issues and propose valuable and feasible solutions.

After 24 months working together on development of project outputs, all the partnership has finally achieved the objectives set at the beginning of our shared path. Through the final meeting and public event in Athens Greece, partners presented the developed materials and platform to its targets.

The partnership of YESS developed the following products:

  • Mapping and assessment of national enterprise shadowing practices reports: A study carried out in all partner countries of previous experience of “Enterprise Shadowing” (ES) schemes, their main characteristics and views by enterprises and future ES participants. In total, 200 young people and 40 Enterprises has participated in the questionnaire based on-line survey in partner countries.
  • Enterprise Shadowing Methodology, Training Materials, Guides and Tools: Training materials to support the learning path of Young people through a set of training modules composed by training materials, guides and tools. These materials supported young people’s employability by providing them tools and structuring a methodology which was implemented transversally during the 2-years-project.
  • Digital Training Content and Customised YESS e-Learning platform: An open-source learning platform developed to ensure a distance learning for the young people who participated in the pilot phase of the Enterprise Shadowing programmes in partner country. The platform is available for anyone.
